Who is behind Plaud

Plaud's privacy policy (updated June 2026) names Plaud Inc., a Delaware company, as the data controller. The legal notice of its German store names Nicebuild Technology Limited, registered with the Hong Kong Companies Registry, as the store operator, with Plaud's founder as its legal representative. Plaud's devices are made in Shenzhen.

Plaud's data and AI

Plaud's Trust Center lists storage regions in the US, the EU (AWS Frankfurt), Japan and Singapore, and says users in Europe use EU-hosted processors. It names GPT, Claude and Gemini as its models and says it does not train on user data unless users opt in. Plaud launched its own MCP server in September 2026.

About Kasset

Kasset Pro connects one Plaud Note Pro or NotePin S per user. Kasset takes recordings from the device directly and transcribes them itself, so a Plaud subscription is not needed to use the device with Kasset. Kasset is made by Bromance Studio SRL in Brussels and stores and processes recordings in France by default, under a DPA governed by Belgian law. Recording people in person carries the same duties as recording a call; see the GDPR page.
